Sam Harris

Sam Harris is an American neuroscientist, philosopher, and podcast host ("Making Sense"). He holds a Ph.D. in neuroscience from UCLA. He is the author of "The End of Faith" (2004), "Letter to a Christian Nation" (2006), and "The Moral Landscape" (2010). He is one of the "New Atheists" and has been among the most prominent Western intellectuals to critique Islam's doctrines and political dimensions from a secular, evidence-based perspective. His credibility is strongest in neuroscience, philosophy of mind, and his firsthand engagement with Islamic ideology. He holds more liberal political positions on domestic US issues.
