Dinesh D'Souza

Dinesh D'Souza is an Indian-American conservative author, filmmaker, and commentator. He is the author of books on American history, Ronald Reagan, Christianity, and the Democratic Party. His documentary films include "2016: Obama's America," "Hillary's America," and "2000 Mules." He holds credibility specifically on Reagan-era American conservatism, Biblical archaeology (having engaged with scholarship on the historicity of Biblical accounts), and Indian-American perspectives on US politics. Note: He was convicted in 2014 of a federal campaign finance violation and subsequently pardoned by President Trump in 2018 — a fact relevant to weighing his claims about political corruption.
